• Professional Cleaning - A complete cleaning should be done by a professional certified cleaner once per year. Heavy traffic areas require more cleaning and should be cleaned more often. • Vacuuming - Vacuuming your carpet often. This removes damaging dirt that sits down in your carpet, cutting the fibers and causing premature wear. A good rule of thumb is to vacuum once a week for every person living in the home and always before dirt on the carpet is visible.
• Spot Removal - Removing spots and spills immediately is necessary to maintain clean carpet. Any bits and pieces should be removed first. All excess liquid needs to be soaked up with a white towel. Great care must be taken when removing spots so as not to harm the carpet. When carpet is new (first 2 years) it still has plenty of protectants on it and many spots can be removed with just water. All other spots should be removed with a spot cleaner made specifically for use on carpet.
• Protectants - Residential carpets are treated with stain and soil resistors during the manufacturing process to protect the carpet. Protectants should be reapplied by a carpet cleaner every year after a carpet clean.

• If we will be moving furniture during your carpet cleaning, please remove all small items and delicates from the area prior to your appointment. This includes toys, lamps, picture frames, plants, magazines, clothing, etc.
• If you have pets, you may want to consider closing him/her in a room during the cleaning.
• Vacuum all high-traffic areas prior to our arrival.
• We would love it if you could leave us space to park our mobile cleaning unit as close to the door as possible. It is difficult for us to move once we begin cleaning!

Carpet protectant, commonly known as Scotchgard, is used on carpet, upholstery and fabric to repel both stains and water. It creates an invisible coating that makes it more difficult for dirt and dust to attach itself to your floor or furniture. This barrier makes it harder for spills and dirt to attach deeply into your carpet fibers. More shallow spills can be wiped away before they soak into your carpet.

While most carpets come from the mill with a layer of Scotchgard protection, that coating will wear off over time. Having this coating re-applied periodically will prolong the life of your carpet and upholstery.

Here are the 10 steps to our carpet cleaning process:

1. Pre-inspection: Our technician will inspect the carpet for stains and set your expectations for results.
2. Pre-spray: A conditioning agent is applied to break down dirt.
3. Pre-spot: A treatment is applied to prominent stains to increase the chances of removal.
4. Pre-groom: A groomer is used to further loosen the soil.
5. Soil extraction and rinse: With an extraction cleaner, the carpet is rinsed and the dirt removed without overwetting the carpet.
6. Neutralizer: a pH balancer is applied to remove residue and leave your carpet soft and fresh.
7. Post Spot: any remaining stains will get an extra treatment of a specialty solution. This is also when carpet protector will be applied.
8. Post Groom: A groomer is used to help the carpet dry faster and in the correct position.
9. Speed Dry: air movers are brought in to make the carpeting dry faster. Your carpeting will take between 8-24 hours to dry fully. To decrease drying time, try to keep the room temperature around 72 degrees.
10. Final Inspection: our technician will walk through the results with you to make sure you are 100% satisfied.
